Marquette in the Summer

Dear Fashion Friend:

It’s another enchanting summer evening in Marquette, Michigan. By the waterfront, a nice elderly lady sits on a park bench with her dog enjoying a large box of popcorn. Her husband sets off for a walk promising to be back in thirty minutes. Young people meet up with their friends in the nearby parking lot. They bring out the cigarettes and crank up the radio. It’s a chance for them to unwind and to talk about the trivial. In the meantime, bicyclists and joggers happily engage in their daily exercise on an exquisite pathway along North Lakeshore Boulevard.  Parents watch their children enjoy each other’s company in the small park adjacent to the harbor. Up the way, people have their tickets ready to enter the Lake Superior Theater to see its production of Mamma Mia.

A young woman enters the Iron Bay Restaurant and Drinkery. She looks a bit rushed. As she enters the room, she seeks out her beloved’s presence. All notice how beautiful she is wearing this exquisite dress from www.aleyacollections.com.  A young man, sitting nearby, is a fashion blogger. He admires the young lady and her attire’s dazzling colors of blue and mocha. He wonders about who she is and what is her story. Perhaps, he muses, she is a poet drawing inspiration from the wonders of Aphrodite and Erato. He also loves her hairstyle and choice of makeup. While he adores her selection of jewelry, he jots down in his notebook how a lovely a silver neckpiece would enhance her exquisiteness. He begins to outline in his mind his next blog post as he enjoys the cool summer evening breeze coming from Lake Superior.

The hostess asks her if she has a reservation. Before she can answer, she finds her partner sitting on the other end of the restaurant. They greet each other with a gentle hug and a kiss. They sit down to enjoy a delicious meal of whitefish chowder and grilled salmon. Today it’s her birthday. Her darling presents her with a bouquet and a card. Inside the card, there is the following quote: “Thinking of you keeps me awake. Dreaming of you keeps me asleep. Being with you keeps me alive.”

I hope your visit to www.aleyacollections.com was an enchanting one.

Sincerely,

Gabe xoxo
