Fashion and Summer on Mackinac Island

Dear Fashion Friend:

Looking to spice up your wardrobe? How about with this “Sexy Summer Retro Dress” from the lovely world of It’s an exquisite choice for those informal occasions booked on your social calendar. Aleya offers accessories for you to choose from to go with the presented attire. This enchanting wicker handbag, for example, would bring out a bohemian theme to the outfit.

Alyea also offers this dress in a variety of colors – everything from blue to dark grey.

There is something romantic about the presented photos. Let me explain what I mean. A few years ago, the model Stephanie Seymour made this captivating point about the making of “an iconic” photo:

“It’s when something is memorable, but in a searing way—an image that becomes burned instantly into a person’s memory and also brings back all kinds of personal memories for them at the same time. It’s something that has that kind of effect on a large number of people.”

For me, those “personal memories” include journeys to the “Thumb Region” of the state of Michigan. I love spending time up there because of all the great summer festivals.  Port Austin’s Porch Festival, for example, has become “a ‘must attend’ musical event” which commences June 22nd of this year. What “personal memories” await our model? I can see her and her spouse relishing the wonders of Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel. This late 19th-century establishment “beckons guests to a bygone era of old-world hospitality and charm.” I can imagine our model wearing this lovely summer retro dress at the Hotel’s splendid 4:00 p.m. teas or its delightful dinner hours. As she and her beloved learn quickly during their vacation in northern Michigan: “Every evening at the Grand Hotel is a special occasion.”

I hope your visit to was an enchanting one.
